Tools available under this category are:
Switch
Port Mapper This helps network engineers identify
the switch port to which a device is connected and thus eliminates
the need of manually tracing the network cables. The tool discovers
the devices plugged into each port of a specified switch. The
tool is useful for system and network engineers to gain visibility
into the IP, MAC, status and availability of ports. Since this
is a real-time discovery you can also view the operational status
and speed of each port. This tool maps switch ports to the devices
connected to them.
Bandwidth
Monitor This tool provides a graphical view of
real-time traffic in a switch or router. The Tool is ideal for
identifying bottlenecks related to bandwidth within the network.
This tool monitors the average BPS and percentage utilization
of all the interfaces existing in the specified device. The
tool presents the output in a graphical form.
Wake-On-LAN This tool remotely 'wakes-up' a machine (boots-up a machine)
that is present in the network but not alive. For the tool to
work, the PC should be configured to accept the Wake-On-LAN
remote command.
Network Monitor
The tool continuously monitors the response time of multiple
devices and generates e-mail alerts based on the severity.
These alerts are set up at three different levels and show
the different status of the nodes.
System Details Update- This tool comes handy when the administrator has to update
the system details, such as System Name, System Description,
and System Location in a range of devices. The administrator
can first scan a range of devices to view the existing details
and then can modify as required and update them all at once.
Port Scanner - This tool
scans the given ports either in a range of IP Addresses or
for a single IP to find the status of the scanned ports. The
status of the ports can be either listening or not listening.
You can associate the ports with the known services, which
enables you to know the unknown/unwanted services running
in the system.
System Explorer This tool will scan a SNMP-enabled device to get its complete details like system snapshot, CPU usage, Disk Space details, running processes, and installed software.
TCP Reset This tool
lists all the TCP connections that are established in a device.
The administrator can verify the connections and reset the
unwanted/unauthorized connections from here. |
